Chris Hardwick takes on middle age, marriage, fatherhood, and a rapidly changing world in an energetic stand-up performance packed with stories, songs, and audience interaction. Now in his 50s, Hardwick finds comedy in the indignities of aging, from growing pill collections and questionable digestive choices to prostate exams and realizing Gen Z are “time millionaires.”
As an older dad, Hardwick dives into the joys and exhaustion of raising his four-year-old daughter, diaper disasters, and keeping up with toddler energy while comparing her childhood to his Gen X upbringing. He also explores a decade of marriage, from movie-night frustrations and true crime obsessions to the stark contrast between his Disneyland bachelor party and his wife’s boar-hunting adventure.
Along the way, Hardwick riffs on forgotten technology, cats versus dogs, and modern life through hilarious musical numbers. The show builds to the epic “Tampon Quest,” transforming a simple errand for his wife into a fantasy adventure with an unexpected ending. Playful, nostalgic, and personal, Hardwick finds the fun in growing older without necessarily growing up.
